Herring cakes with herring are made from wafer cakes, which are easy to buy at retailers. If you know how to cook these cakes yourself, use them.

For wafer cakes, you can use both salted and smoked herring. Try to choose a large, well-fed fish. It is more fatty, which means the snack will be tastier.

Ingredients:

square wafer cake packaging;

300 gr. salted Atlantic herring;

three beets;

50 gr. mayonnaise;

three boiled eggs;

large carrot.

Cooking Method:

Boil beetroot and eggs in different capacities beforehand. Vegetables cool at room temperature, and pour eggs with cool water.

Prepare herring. Separating the head, remove the insides, rinse the abdomen with water. Drain, incise the carcass along the ridge, remove the skin and separate the fillets from the bones. Cut into slices, grind herring in a meat grinder. To add volume and taste to the mass, you can skip one processed cheese along with the fish.

Peeling eggs from the shell, be sure to wash them with water. Wiping dry, rub the eggs on a fine grater, adding a teaspoon of mayonnaise, mix thoroughly. Also, using a fine grater, grind boiled beets. Letting stand for up to five minutes, decant all the separated juice from the beets and mix it with a spoon of mayonnaise. Be sure to add some salt.

On a wide flat dish, spread the first cake out of the package and apply herring stuffing on it in a thick layer. Cover with a second billet, which we lubricate with beetroot mass. We put another cake and put on it mixed with mayonnaise eggs. Laying the remaining wafer cakes, alternate layers in the same order, and the top, we smear the brightest stuffing - beetroot.

After peeling the carrots from the carrots, we cut the root crop into long slices with the help of a potato peeler. Putting it in a bowl, pour boiling water and let stand for some time. When the carrot strips are soft, wipe them with towels, decorate the cake. We spread on the surface and sides in the form of strips of packing tape. From above, from them we form a bow, or, having turned a rolls, we imitate flowers.

Ingredients:

We generously sprinkle carrots with greased mayonnaise and decorate the cake with finely chopped greens.

Waffle cake with herring, herring caviar and cod liver

Ingredients:

rectangular wafer cakes - standard small package;

300 gr. smoked herring;

jar of cod liver;

herring or other inexpensive salted caviar - half a jar;

curd cheese in 200 g trays - 3 pcs .;

frozen shrimp without shell;

fennel young - a few twigs.

Cooking Method:

Gutted herring, remove the skin from the carcass. Diced on fillet, then cut into thin slices.

Putting cod liver on a plate, knead the forks with a fork to obtain a pasty mass. Mix the liver with cheese from one tray.

Put the curd cheese from another tray in a separate bowl and combine it with herring caviar.

We cover the chopping board with a sheet of foil and apply curd cheese in a thin layer. Pre-lay the wafer cake on a sheet of foil and mark its contours; you will apply the cheese without leaving them.

We put the first cake on the cheese, richly cover it with a cheese-liver mixture. From above, spread the fish slices evenly.

Over it we put thinly pure, without additives, cottage cheese cheese and set the next cake. This is followed by a rich layer of caviar mass, which is neatly leveled over the entire surface.

We put another cake, which we coat with a liver-cheese mass, and on top of it we again place pieces of herring.

Put on the fish a thin layer of pure cheese and put the final wafer cake. One blank must remain, we use it to decorate the cake. Cover the sides and the surface of the waffle cake with the remaining curd cheese and put it in the fridge for two hours.

Thawed shrimps boil for two minutes and leave to cool in a colander.

Rub the remaining wafer cake with a large grater and sprinkle with crumb the surface of the already soaked cake. We make out shrimp and dill sprigs.

Ingredients:

four rectangular wafer cakes;

250 gr. boiled carrots;

four spoons of medium-fat mayonnaise;

200 grams of salted herring fillet;

one apple and a couple of bulbs;

two spoons of sunflower oil; and one - chopped dill;

300 grams of frozen mushrooms;

three boiled eggs.

Cooking Method:

Peel the whole onion. Finely chop one head and fry with butter until soft. Without thawing, put mushrooms in a pan with onions, continue to cook on medium heat for seven minutes. At the end, we add pepper and salt.

Cool slightly, transfer the mushrooms from the frying pans to the blender bowl and at maximum speed interrupt until homogeneous.

Choose from the fillet of herring all visible bones, cut into small slices.

Peeled apple and one onion finely chopped, coarsely chop one egg.

We put the pieces of apple, fish, onions and eggs in a blender, at high speeds, interrupt to a pasty mass. Season with pepper and salt.

Prepare another mass for spreading the cakes, blender, boil carrots with melted cheese, two spoons of mayonnaise and one egg. We also fill it with salt and pepper.

Ingredients:

50 gr. white bread;

half a spoon of spicy mustard;

one and a half packs of “farm” oil; boiled egg;

400 gr. salted herring;

a third of a spoonful of soy concentrate;

140 g jar of grainy red caviar.

Cooking Method:

Peeling herring, separate the fillets from the bones, extract the small bones with tweezers.

Fill the crumb of white bread with milk for a dozen minutes.

Peeled onion chop small slices. Putting in a plate, pour soy sauce.

Lay the pieces of herring, mustard, slices of boiled eggs and onion in a blender bowl, grind into a homogeneous mass.

Putting the contents of the bowl in a bowl, grind through a small grater, peeled apple, mix.

The butter, softened by thawing at room temperature, is cut and laid in a bowl. Add the slices of melted cheese and marinated onions, beat well.

Ingredients:

Dijon and spicy mustard must be laid out beforehand in order to warm up. We will make the sauce from mustard, but if it is cold, when mixing the components, the mass will separate.

You can not use a lot of mayonnaise or fry components in a large amount of oil, the cakes will quickly soften and the effect will be lost. If the browned mushrooms or vegetables contain a lot of fat, fold it in a colander so that excess oil is drained.
