Culinary experiments often lead to the creation of unexpected dishes. And, if earlier the joke “pies with tomatoes” was just a joke, then today it is a very tasty, appetizing and budget dish that is prepared so quickly that you can surprise them even with unexpected guests!
Everyone will find the best way to cook tomato pies: garlic, cottage cheese, greens, etc. One thing is clear - no one will remain indifferent to such roasted pastries, especially if it is served hot, when the cheese is still drawn.
You will need:
for the test:
- 1 tbsp. boiling water;
- 0.5 tbsp. salts;
- 1 tsp. sugar sand;
- 2 tbsp. vegetable oil;
- 3 tbsp. wheat flour.
For filling:
- 150 g of durum cheese;
- 2-3 ripe tomatoes;
- 2-3 pinches of salt.
When preparing the dough, you do not have to stick to the recipe, if you have your own favorite recipe for creating pasties. It cheburechnogo, as the dough for the pies should be crispy and must bubble when roasting.
Pour boiling water and vegetable oil into the container and add salt together with granulated sugar. Sugar gives baking crispy taste.
Stir all until complete dissolution and add 1 tbsp. wheat flour. Knead the dough so that flour lumps do not form, then add another 1 tbsp. flour. Divide the last glass in half and set aside half the flour to roll out the dough, and add the second one to the dough.
Cover the top of the freshly cooked hot dough and place in the fridge for 20 minutes to cool, while preparing yourself a simple filling.
Rub the hard cheese on a fine grater. Instead of cheese, you can use feta (cheese), cottage cheese or ricotta.
Rinse the tomatoes in water and cut into large circles, cutting out the green hearts.
Take the dough out of the fridge and divide it into a couple of servings.
Roll the first part into a round layer and place it on a floured board.
Put the sliced tomato circles on the dough, trying to leave some space between them.
Put a little grated cheese on each tomato and sprinkle it with salt. At this stage of cooking, you can add herbs or pressed garlic.
Roll out the second round of dough and cover the first one with the filling.
Mug or glass cut the patties, focusing on the filling. Each pie itself will stick together when you rotate the cup - just do not forget to dip its edges in flour, otherwise the cup may stick to the dough.
In a saucepan or container with a non-stick bottom, heat the vegetable oil to the limit and fry the patties in it for 2 minutes on both sides.
Place the fried pies on a plate and let them cool slightly.
Serve pastries with greens and various sauces. Good appetite!
