Potato patties are a classic. It is unlikely that there will be those who refuse such baking. Today we decided to devote our master class to cooking potato pies on kefir. We are sure that if Little Red Riding Hood would carry patties made according to this recipe to her grandmother and treat them to the wolf, the predator would be fed up with them and would not target the grandmother or the Red cap.
You will need:
- kefir - 1 cup,
- flour - 2, 5-3 glasses,
- egg - 1 piece,
- soda - 3/4 tsp,
- salt - 1/2 tsp,
- vegetable oil - 1/3 cup (in dough) + for frying,
- mashed potatoes - for the filling.
Cooking
1. We check whether everything necessary for frying pies is available.
2. Pour the kefir in a bowl. We salt. Add soda. We leave for a couple of minutes, during this time the soda should be extinguished by kefir.
3. Add the egg. Stir well.
4. Pour in vegetable oil. Stir.
5. Pour the sifted flour.
6. Knead the dough. Leave it for a quarter of an hour.
7. After the specified time has elapsed, divide the dough into small pieces.
8. We roll each into a lozenge approximately 7 mm thick, for this procedure it is not necessary to resort to using a rolling pin, you can form lozenges with your fingers.
9. In the center of each cake we put the filling. We use mashed potatoes, but you can fry the pies with your favorite flavor.
10. We make pies.
11. We lay out the blanks in hot butter. Fry from both sides to ruddy color. If you do not like pies, fried in a pan, then cakes prepared according to this recipe can be baked in the oven.
12. Delicious potato patties are ready.
