Lean pilau cooked with fresh mushrooms, frozen, as well as dry.

Thanks to the microwave, this dish is easily managed even by an inexperienced hostess. The main thing is to take into account all the nuances of cooking, which will be discussed below.

Subtleties

  • The principle of cooking pilau with mushrooms is the same as with meat. But you need to take into account the fact that during the frying of fresh mushrooms a large amount of liquid is released. If it is not completely evaporated and pour as much water as indicated in the recipe, then as a result, rice can boil soft due to excess moisture. Therefore, rice in a slow cooker is poured with such a quantity of water that it covers one centimeter.
  • Dry mushrooms are thoroughly washed from possible sand before use, and then soaked for two hours in cold water. It can be replaced with milk. This greatly improves the taste of the finished dry mushrooms.
  • In order for pilaf with mushrooms to turn out crumbly, you need to choose rice that does not boil soft, but well absorbs water. From the excess starch, because of which the rice and stick together, helps washing the cereal in several waters with further soaking for 1-2 hours. Before filling in the rice bowl should be laid out on a sieve so that it is slightly dried.
  • Mushrooms have their own unique flavor, so you shouldn’t drown it with lots of spices and seasonings or spices that have a very strong smell.
