- flour - 2 glasses,
- starch (preferably potato) - 3/4 cup,
- sugar - 1/2 cup,
- mayonnaise - 100 g,
- butter or margarine for baking - 100 g,
- egg - 1 pc.,
- salt - pinch,
- baking powder for dough - 1 tsp. (You can replace 1/2 teaspoon of soda, slaked with vinegar).
1. At the very beginning we prepare the products required for making a treat.
2. Beat the egg with salt.
3. Add mayonnaise. Mix thoroughly until smooth.
4. In a separate bowl, rub the butter / margarine with sugar.
5. Pour the egg-mayonnaise mixture into the oily mass. Stir.
6. Combine flour, starch and baking powder for dough. Sift the dry mixture to enrich with oxygen. Warning: if you decide to use soda, slaked with vinegar, then it should be added to the egg-mayonnaise mixture, and not to mix with flour and starch.
7. Gradually pouring the flour mixture into the liquid base, knead the soft dough.
8. Roll the dough into a layer a little thinner than a centimeter thick.
9. Cut out blanks of the desired shape from dough and spread them on a baking sheet covered with parchment. If you want, you can sprinkle cookies over the top with sugar. Sent to the oven heated to 180 degrees.
10. After 7-10 minutes, the most delicate shortbread cookies in mayonnaise are ready. If you wish, you can pour the cookies with melted chocolate, but you can be sure that without any kind of additives they will turn out to be extremely tasty.
