A great idea for Easter besides traditional Easter cakes is the “Easter Egg” cookie. You can decorate them the way you want - icing is very easy to make with sugar, protein and food coloring. You can attract to this exciting activity and kids. Since the cookies are very tasty, they can be prepared for any reason and without, each time using different molds (animals, geometric shapes, colors) and making experiments on decorating.

List of ingredients:

  • Butter - 150 g,
  • wheat flour - 220 g,
  • icing sugar - 70 g,
  • vanilla sugar - 8 g,
  • lemon juice - 1 tbsp. l.,
  • salt - 1 pinch.

Frosting:

  • powdered sugar - 100 g,
  • chicken protein - 1 pc.,
  • food coloring.

Cooking

1. Put sifted wheat flour and powdered sugar in a bowl.

2. Cut butter into small cubes.

3. Send the butter in a bowl of flour and powdered sugar. Add lemon juice and vanilla sugar here.

4. Start beating the contents of the bowl with a mixer until you get the oil crumb.

5. Start kneading the dough, knead literally 5 minutes - it should become homogeneous. Wrap the dough in cling film and refrigerate for at least half an hour.

6. After the indicated time, remove the dough and pinch off the piece. Most of the time again send it in the fridge, and roll this piece into a thin cake. You need an oval or egg mold. With a cap from a felt-tip pen you can make holes for ribbons.

7. Cover baking sheet with baking paper and spread out the blanks for cookies.

8. Bake Easter eggs at 180 degrees for 10-15 minutes. Then let it cool and proceed to the creative part.

9. Beat the chilled protein with powdered sugar to form a dense foam.

10. Divide the icing into bowls and add a drop of food coloring to each. Also leave the icing without dye.

11. For applying glaze on cookies, you can use a regular cellophane bag. Put the icing in it (in the corner) and make a hole with a toothpick. When pressed, it will be possible to apply the icing on the cookies in thin strips. Also for decoration you can take Easter powder.

12. Cookies are ready. Let the glaze harden for several hours and serve cookies for dessert or tea.
