Turkey has very tender and soft meat. But he has a small minus: when baking in the oven, it becomes dryish. Despite this, it makes excellent steaks.

Turkey Steak: Cooking Details

  • According to many recipes, meat for steaks is beaten off. It, of course, becomes softer, but in this case it turns out not steak, but chop. With the help of the hammer you can only give the meat the desired shape.
  • It is necessary to make cutting correctly: not along the fibers, but across. Such meat is quickly and evenly roasted.
  • The steak will be juicier if marinated beforehand. To do this, use wine, lemon juice, mayonnaise, sour cream. Before baking, remove the steaks from the marinade and remove excess liquid. Otherwise, the meat does not form a ruddy crust.
  • To keep the steak in the oven dry, it is first fried in a pan, making a big fire. Chunks of meat are quickly covered with a dense crust, and the juice remains inside. Then the steaks are transferred to a baking sheet and sent to the oven heated to 180-190 °. Bring to readiness.

Spicy turkey steak in the oven

Ingredients:

  • turkey fillet - 500 g;
  • paprika - 0.5 tsp;
  • nutmeg - 1 g;
  • curry - 1 g;
  • black pepper - 1 g;
  • saffron - 1 g;
  • red pepper - 1 g;
  • salt;
  • vegetable oil - 1 tbsp. l

Method of preparation

  • Meat cut across the fibers into pieces 2-3 cm wide.
  • Mix all the spices. Grease them with fillets. Leave on for 15-30 minutes for pickling.
  • Spray the pan with oil. On high heat, fry the steaks until golden brown.
  • Put them on a baking sheet. Put in the oven, bring to readiness. Cover with foil and let rest.

Turkey steak with tomatoes in the oven

Ingredients:

  • turkey fillet - 500 g;
  • tomatoes - 2 pcs .;
  • salt, black pepper - to taste;
  • vegetable oil - 2 tbsp. l

Method of preparation

  • Cut the turkey fillet into 2 cm thick slices.
  • Sprinkle with pepper and leave for 15 minutes. Salt it. Sprinkle with oil on both sides.
  • Place on a baking sheet. For each piece of meat, place a thin slice of tomato.
  • Place in an oven heated to 220 °. Bake for 20-30 minutes.

Turkey steak with mustard in the oven

Ingredients:

  • turkey fillet - 500 g;
  • mustard - 1 tbsp. l .;
  • sour cream - 1 tbsp. l .;
  • salt;
  • black pepper;
  • vegetable oil - 1 tbsp. l

Method of preparation

  • Cut the turkey fillets into equal slices.
  • In a bowl, mix the sour cream, mustard and pepper. Coat the marinade meat and marinate for 30 minutes.
  • Put on a baking sheet sprinkled with oil, salt. Place in an oven heated to 180 ° and bake for 30 minutes.
  • Turn off the stove. Cover the steaks with foil and let them rest for another 5-10 minutes.

Turkey T-bone Steak in the oven

Ingredients:

  • turkey fillet on the bone - 2 pcs .;
  • garlic - 2 cloves;
  • thyme - pinch;
  • salt;
  • black pepper;
  • vegetable oil - 1 tbsp. l

Method of preparation

  • In order not to chop the bone, it is better to buy a ready-made bone-in filet. Such steaks will be neat and of equal size. Wash them, dry with paper towels.
  • Chop garlic. Mix it with thyme, pepper. Mix the meat with the mixture and leave to marinate for 1 hour.
  • Put the turkey in shape. Salt it. Sprinkle with oil. Cover with foil. Send to the oven, heated to 230-240 °, and bake for 20-25 minutes.
  • Remove the foil. Leave the steaks in the oven for another 15 minutes until golden brown appears.

Note: Before baking, steaks can be placed in a sleeve or packed in foil. Continue to do the same as written in the recipe.

Turkey steak with lemon in the oven

Ingredients:

  • turkey fillet - 500 g;
  • salt;
  • black pepper;
  • lemon - 1 pc .;
  • vegetable oil - 1 tbsp. l

Method of preparation

  • Wash turkey fillets. Cut into portions. Sprinkle with pepper and salt.
  • Lubricate the pan with oil, heat well. Put on her pieces of meat. Fry quickly on high heat until golden brown.
  • Transfer to a greased form. Each steak is covered with a thin slice of lemon.
  • Bake in the oven for 15-25 minutes at 180-200 °.

Mistress to note

  • For 5 minutes until cooked, steaks can be sprinkled with grated cheese.
  • Serve them with any side dish or vegetable salad.
  • Salt the meat just before cooking, otherwise it will release the juice ahead of time and in the finished form it will turn out dry.
  • If you are pre-frying steaks in a pan, do not cover it with a lid.
