This snack will surely appeal to lovers of fast food. And the kids will be happy at all - most likely responsible parents do not indulge their children with appetizing-smelling convolutions of lavash, but with dubious contents. Here, in just one hour, you will have a great homemade shawarma with chicken and vegetables.

List of ingredients:

  • pita bread - 2 leaves,
  • Korean style carrots - 180 g,
  • white cabbage - 150 g,
  • parsley - 3-4 sprigs,
  • chicken fillet - 250 g,
  • salt - 0, 5 tsp.,
  • spices for chicken - 0, 5 tsp.,
  • oil for frying - 2 tbsp. l.,
  • hard cheese - 120 g.

Sauce:

  • sour cream - 4 tbsp. l.,
  • mayonnaise - 2 tbsp. l.,
  • garlic - 3 cloves,
  • ground paprika - 0, 5 tsp.,
  • ground red pepper if desired;

The listed ingredients are enough for two shawarma.

Cooking

1. Make a sauce. To do this, mix sour cream and mayonnaise of any fat content in a bowl, add crushed garlic, peeled from the husk, ground paprika and, if desired, for piquancy, red ground pepper, mix everything.

2. Wash and dry the chicken fillet with a towel, cut into strips and fry in oil for 15-20 minutes, add salt and add spices 5 minutes before the end of frying. You can use another part of the chicken, as the fillet can be dry, although the sauce will fix everything.

3. Wash white cabbage and chop finely, then add a pinch of salt to the bowl and shake it well to make the juice stand out.

4. On the table, lay out a sheet of pita, it can be round, oval, square or rectangular. Toward the bottom of the sheet, in the middle, grease the pita bread with the sauce.

5. Next, put the cabbage on top of the sauce.

6. Place the chicken pieces on the cabbage, lightly spread the sauce over the top - so that the meat is not dry.

7. Put Korean carrots on top of the meat, it is better to make it yourself, but if there is no such opportunity, buy the already prepared one.

8. Tear up the fresh greens with your hands and place on the carrots, then slice the cheese into slices and place the carrots on top.

9. Gently but tightly wrap the filling in pita bread.

10. Lubricate the pan with oil, you can those left over from roasting chicken. Fry shawarma from both sides on low heat for 2-3 minutes. An appetizing toasted crust forms and the pita will crunch.
