Mayonnaise most likely owes its popularity to the fact that for many years other types of sauces and seasonings were out of access.
Most have heard about the shortcomings of the product - high fat content, caloric content, significant salt content. Indeed, in high-quality mayonnaise, about 700 kcal are hidden, which is much more than in fried pork, which you cannot call lean.
But you will not be afraid of such information. They are not a good reason to refuse the use of mayonnaise. But to replace the traditional dressing more light sauce without loss of taste - quite doable work. There are a lot of alternative options.
Sour cream sauces
On the basis of fermented milk products, delicious dressings are prepared, in no way inferior to mayonnaise.
The first is to use sour cream. With it you can cook a few refills. Here are some recipes.
Sour cream-soy sauce
For cooking you will need:
- 1 tbsp. sour cream;
- 20 g of soy sauce;
- 3 garlic cloves;
- 5-7 sprigs of dill;
- a few drops of balsamic vinegar.

- Chop the most finely dill.

Natural yogurt can also replace mayonnaise. Its sour taste and dense thick consistency are suitable for dressing green salad, vegetables, potatoes. He will replace the mayonnaise in dishes of tuna and boiled eggs.
To use yogurt in its pure form is too easy. To add a zest, it is enough to add it with pepper, coriander, finely chopped coriander or dill.
In addition, you can put garlic (half heads), olive oil (85 ml) in yogurt and mix the ingredients with a blender. Lightly salted.
The result will be garlic-yoghurt sauce, which is ideally suited to meat dishes.
On the basis of Greek yogurt is prepared sauce, which is called Italian.

Fat-free cottage cheese is another alternative to mayonnaise. If you mix it with lemon juice, pepper and greens to the maximum homogeneous mass - the resulting product will serve as an excellent dressing for any salad.
For vegetable dishes, casseroles, you can make cottage cheese sauce, which includes:
- milk - 200 ml;
- cottage cheese - 100 g;
- cumin - 1 tsp;
- 2 tbsp. l mustard

Vegetable oil sauce
For the preparation of refills, it is better to choose olive oil. In addition, this product is healthy, it gives dishes a great taste. The ideal salad dressing is made from:
- 35 ml of oil;
- one and a half tsp. french mustard;
- 1/2 tsp. balsamic.
All the ingredients are mixed well enough - and the delicious sauce is ready.
This dressing will replace mayonnaise in all salads. The sauce is suitable for dishes from greens, olives and vegetables. It is important not to overdo it with oil. If you add it too much, the dish will be no less fatty than the one that is seasoned with mayonnaise.
For cooking refueling you will need:
- a glass of 15% sour cream;
- 150 grams of walnuts;
- 1/2 bunch of dill;
- 50 g sesame;
- 1 tbsp. l vegetable oils;
- a pinch of black ground pepper.
Sauce preparation process:
- Walnuts and sesame slightly browned in a frying pan.
- Send them to the blender and grind.
- Dill finely chopped.
- Combine all components and mix.
Other spices can be added to the finished nut sauce. This dressing is suitable for fish, potato dishes and other vegetables.
Cream sauce with horseradish
For its preparation you will need:
- 3 tbsp. spoons of grated horseradish;
- 1 tbsp. 20% cream;
- 30 g green onions;
- 1/2 tsp. granulated garlic.
The sequence of cooking:
- Chop onions finely.
- Pour the cream into a small saucepan.
- Add horseradish and garlic. Salt and mix.
- Bring to a boil and immediately remove from heat.
- Add onions, mix again.
The result is a tender, savory cream sauce. It will favorably emphasize the taste of white mushrooms, roast beef, boiled potatoes.
Mayonnaise is not the only sauce that gives dishes a special taste. The range of gas stations in the tens. The main thing is to show a little imagination and not be afraid to try new ingredients.
