Ingredients (for 1 liter of ready liquor):

  • strawberries - 0.5 kg;
  • vodka with a strength of 40 ° - 0, 5 l;
  • sugar - 0.5 kg;
  • water - 250 ml.

To liqueur pleased us with a delicious aroma and bright red color, you need to choose the right strawberries. The berries must be fresh, ripe, without damage, with a pronounced smell.

1. Wash strawberries thoroughly and allow to drain completely. Then free the berries from the sepals.

2. Put the berries in a clean, dry glass jar with a volume of 1, 5 or 2 liters.

3. Pour vodka.

4. Close tightly so that the alcohol does not evaporate.

A bottle of strawberries to withstand for two weeks in a warm place or in the sun. It is advisable to shake it from time to time.

After this period, the berries should turn white, and the liquid, on the contrary, become bright red.

5. Then, remove the berries from the jar and strain the liquid through several layers of gauze.

It remains to cook the syrup. To do this, pour sugar into a small saucepan.

6. Add 250 ml of water and cook over medium heat, stirring constantly, until a homogeneous mass (sugar syrup) is obtained.

7. Cool the syrup to room temperature.

Mix the infusion of berries on vodka and sugar syrup. This process is called blending.

8. Pour into bottles (not reaching the neck about 2 cm).

Put the resulting drink in a dark cool place and let it brew for at least a week. But it would be great if, after blending, the liquor is kept for 1 month or more.

  • Vodka can be replaced with rum or brandy in the same volume.
