Pears are sweeter than apples and many other fruits, as their acidity is low. At the same time, there are very few sugars in pear fruits. This makes pears a unique dessert for those who adhere to a dietary diet, although they are to the taste of those who can afford a sweet cream cake. However, it is not possible to consume a lot of these fruits fresh, especially for children, the elderly, pregnant women and people suffering from diseases of the digestive system. In order for the fruits not to cause harm to health, they are advised to boil and bake. Especially delicious are baked pears in the oven, which are cooked simply and quickly.

Cooking Features

There is nothing complicated about baking pears, they are especially good for those who know a few small secrets.

  • Over-ripe pears, when baked, will become too soft and “crawl”. Therefore, it is extremely undesirable to use them for baking. Much more for this purpose suitable slightly immature fruits.
  • Pears with broken sides, wormy and moldy ones are not suitable for baking. To make them a delicious and fragrant dessert is beyond the power of even the best pastry chef.
  • If you get too hard pears, milk will help you to make them softer and more juicy. It must be poured into the bottom of the container in which you bake the fruit. Covering the bottom is sufficient with a layer of milk of 2-3 mm.
  • To make pear dessert healthier, sugar in the composition can be replaced with honey. At the same time strongly sweeten the dish is not necessary: ​​pears and so sweet.
  • If you do not want the pears to darken when baking, sprinkle them with lemon juice.

Baked pears with vanilla flavor

Composition:

  • pears (medium or large) - 0.5 kg;
  • granulated sugar - 10 g;
  • vanillin - a pinch;
  • butter - 20 g;
  • lemon juice - out? pieces of fruit.

Method of preparation:

  • Wash the pears and use a peeler to peel them off a thin layer of peel. Remove the “tails” and cut the fruit in half lengthwise. Carefully core the bones.
  • Squeeze out juice from a quarter of a lemon, cover it with pear halves from all sides.
  • Mix sugar with vanilla. Sprinkle pears on the inside, dividing them equally.
  • Put the pears in a baking dish. At the bottom of her nice lay a parchment.
  • Cut a piece of butter into several pieces. Spread the butter in half pears, placing it where the core is cut.
  • Heat the oven to 180 degrees.
  • Put the pears in the oven. After 15 minutes, remove the mold from the oven. Scoop syrup from the middle of the pear with a teaspoon, turn over the half, pour it with syrup. Repeat these manipulations with the other halves. Return the form with the pears to the oven for another 15 minutes.

Pears made according to this recipe can be served both hot and cold. They are especially well combined with vanilla ice cream. If desired, before serving to the table, they can be sprinkled with a small amount of powdered sugar.

Pears baked in wine

Composition:

  • pears large - 1, 5 kg;
  • orange - 0, 2 kg;
  • dry red wine - 150 ml;
  • granulated sugar - 60 g;
  • butter - 40 g.

Method of preparation:

  • Wash the pears. Drain. Leave the stem, but cut out the core with a special knife.
  • Wash an orange; cut off a long strip of peel from its center. It should be about 2 cm wide.
  • Then cut the orange and squeeze the juice out of it. Mix it with wine. Pour this mixture to the bottom of the baking dish. Put the orange peel in it.
  • In a separate container, melt the butter. Using a culinary brush, brush them on the pears.
  • Put the pears in shape and sprinkle with sugar.
  • Send the form with the pears to the oven, preheated to 220 degrees, for 35 minutes.

A pear dessert made according to this recipe will be an excellent snack for champagne or dessert wine.

Baked pears in puff pastry

Composition:

  • pears - 1 kg;
  • puff pastry - 0, 4 kg;
  • water - 1 l;
  • sugar - 0, 25 kg;
  • honey - 0, 2 l;
  • cinnamon - 2 sticks;
  • vanilla - 1 pod;
  • carnation - 5 pcs .;
  • vegetable oil - 20 ml;
  • lemon - 0, 5 pcs.

Method of preparation:

  • Boil water, add honey and sugar to it. Stir, warming over low heat until honey and sugar dissolve completely. Add cloves, cinnamon, vanilla and half a lemon.
  • Wash the pears. Without cutting, remove the cores from them. It will be easy to make it with a special knife, but you can cope with the task without it.
  • Dip the pears in the syrup and boil it for about 10 minutes.
  • Put a pear on a layer of dough, wrap it in it, fix the tips of the dough, moisten it with water. Wrap the remaining pears in the dough.
  • Lubricate the baking dish with a cooking brush. Put the pears wrapped in dough into it. Send in preheated oven to 200 degrees and cook for 20 minutes.

The syrup, in which pears were boiled, can be not poured out, but mixed with wine and boiled - you get a drink very similar to mulled wine.

Pears baked with cheese

Composition:

  • pears - 0, 6-0, 7 kg (3 pcs.);
  • lemon juice - 50 ml;
  • blue mold cheese - 100 g;
  • arugula (can be replaced with an ordinary salad) - 100 g;
  • dried cranberries - 50 g;
  • walnut kernels - 50 g;
  • brown sugar - 50 g;
  • olive oil - 50 ml;
  • apple cider (can be replaced with apple juice) - 100 ml;
  • port wine (can be replaced with grape juice) - 50 ml.

Method of preparation:

  • Turn on the oven so that it warms up to 200 degrees.
  • Chop the kernels with a knife, cut the cheese into small pieces.
  • Mix nuts, cheese and cranberries.
  • Mix cider, port wine, lemon juice and olive oil in a separate container. Add sugar to them, mix again.
  • Wash the pears, cut them lengthwise, remove the core and fill the hollows with cheese, cranberries and nuts. Lavishly pour the syrup.
  • Put the pears in the form and send to the oven for half an hour. From time to time remove and pour syrup.

Before serving, put the pears on a plate covered with arugula leaves and pour over the remaining syrup.

Oven baked pears are an exquisite and healthy dessert that hardly anyone can leave indifferent.
