How to fry peeled seeds in a pan

Clean, peeled seeds can be roasted without prior preparation. But if you doubt their cleanliness (for example, you do not know the conditions in which they were stored), then it is advisable to rinse them.

  • Pour a portion of the seeds into a bowl, fill with hot water, leave for 2-3 minutes. Then fold to the sieve.
  • When the main water is drained, place the seeds on a towel and dry well.
  • Prepare a thick-walled frying pan, put on medium heat and heat well. Pour out the seeds. Peeled seeds are roasted much faster than in the shell, so do not move away from the plate and do not be distracted by anything.
  • When the seeds are warm, reduce the fire. Constantly stir the grains so that they are roasted evenly from all sides. On a small fire, the seeds roast slowly, but the roasting will be of high quality.
  • Pour the prepared sunflower seeds from the pan into a plate and allow it to cool completely.

How to fry the peeled seeds with salt in a pan

If you like salted seeds, add salt before heat treatment. While the seeds are a little wet, salt will stick to them better. Of course, the salt must be taken fine, otherwise it will spill between the seeds on the bottom of the bowl, and then the pan.

For greater effect, you can drop a little bit of sunflower oil, which will be the link between the seeds and salt. At the same time, you should remember that sunflower seeds, fried with butter, are less useful and, for many, harmful because of possible carcinogens.

How to fry peeled seeds with soy sauce in a pan

To get salty seeds, you can use soy sauce. It is quite salty, as well as this product will give a spicy taste to your seeds.

To do this, first fry the peeled seeds in a dry frying pan until almost ready. Then remove the pan from the heat and add a little soy sauce to the seeds (one tablespoon is enough for 100 grams of seeds). Put on the fire again and with medium heat, constantly stirring the contents of the frying pan, wait until the moisture evaporates completely.

Then pour the seeds into a flat dish and let them cool completely.

How to fry peeled seeds with other additives

Seeds can be cooked with anything. It can be pepper, cumin, cinnamon, coriander, lemon juice. Rinse the cleaned seeds, let the water drain. Chop the spices in a blender or coffee grinder. Then mix with wet seeds. Put on a hot frying pan and, stirring constantly, fry until ready.

To get sweet seeds, powdered sugar or honey, add at the very end of the heat treatment, otherwise sweet seeds will quickly burn.

By the same principle, peeled seeds with additives can be cooked in the oven or microwave.

  • Put the prepared seeds on a baking tray covered with parchment. Smooth them to lay in one layer.
  • Place in an oven heated to 150 °. Approximately every 3-4 minutes, mix the seeds, otherwise they may burn from one side.
  • As soon as they are covered with a slightly brownish “tan”, remove the baking sheet from the oven, as the overcooked seeds have a disgusting taste.

Purified sunflower seeds, roasted in the oven, can be with any additives. To do this, mix them well in a bowl with fine salt or any seasoning, you can drip a little vegetable oil. Pour them on a baking sheet and send to the oven. Stir frequently so that they do not burn.

How to fry peeled seeds in the microwave

In the microwave, the seeds are roasted very quickly. Depending on the power of the stove, this will take you from three to six minutes.

  • Spread the prepared seeds in a thin layer on the tray, which is included in the microwave, put in the oven. Turn it on at full capacity, set the time - 3 minutes.
  • After a minute, open the door, stir the seeds. Cook another minute. Stir again.
  • Repeat these steps 2-3 times. And do each of the following heat treatment shorter than the previous one, since your seeds have already dried up, which means that roasting will be more active.

Fry the peeled sunflower seeds in the same way, but before sending them to the oven for the first time, mix them with fine salt, adding a drop of butter or boiled water.
