  • The main ingredient of a hot dog is sausage, and a lot depends on its quality. You should not take cheap sausages, preference should be given to those made according to GOST, which include meat and few additional additives. Smoked sausages will be the most delicious, but the usual healthier.
  • Before putting a sausage in a bun, you need to cook it. The worst way of cooking is boiling in water, the best is grilling, the easiest is heating in a microwave. You can fry in a grill pan without adding oil or use a special toaster.
  • Hot dog roll is a necessary lush, with a slightly sweet neutral taste, not interrupting the taste of the “filling”. To do this, you can use special buns for hot dogs, including mustard seeds, sprinkled with sesame, or French baguette, cut in half. Proponents of a healthy diet can make a hot dog out of bran buns. The best, but troublesome option, is to make a bun on your own from yeast dough.

Ingredients (10 buns):

  • wheat flour - 0.5 kg;
  • milk - 0, 25 l;
  • water - 0, 25 l;
  • butter - 50 g;
  • sugar - 25 g;
  • salt - 10 g;
  • dry yeast - 4 g (or 12 g normal).

Method of preparation:

  • Boil water and cool to about 25-30 degrees. Heat the milk to about the same temperature and mix with water.
  • Fill the mixture with yeast, stir.
  • After 5 minutes, add this mixture to 0, 25 kg of wheat flour and, well mixed, put in a warm place.
  • After half an hour, add the rest of the flour, melted butter, salt and sugar to the brew. Wait one and a half to two hours until the dough fits. All this time every 30 minutes, hemmed it.
  • Divide the dough into 10 pieces and form oblong buns.
  • Give the dough “rest” 15 minutes, then put the buns on a baking sheet covered with baking paper, and send for 15 minutes to a preheated 200 degree oven.

After the buns have cooled, they can be used to make hot dogs or eat instead of bread.

American Hot Dog

Composition:

  • bun with sesame - 5 pcs .;
  • smoked sausages - 5 pcs .;
  • radishes - 100 g;
  • fresh cucumber - 0, 2 kg;
  • lettuce leaves - 5 pcs .;
  • ketchup - how much will leave;
  • mayonnaise - how much will leave;
  • mustard - how much will leave.

Method of preparation:

  • Dry the buns, cut them lengthwise, put a piece of lettuce in each.
  • Put the sausages on the salad, after removing the protective film from them.
  • Wrap each hot dog in a paper napkin, put them in the microwave.
  • Turn it on for 1 minute if there is one hot dog in it, and for 3-4 minutes if all five are prepared in it.

  • Put the sliced ​​cucumbers and radishes into a bun at the edges of the sausage.
  • Squeeze a mustard into a sausage with a thin strip, mayonnaise and ketchup with a thicker zigzag layer.
