Vegetarian Pizza

Vegetarian Pizza

Everyone loves pizza, and people who deliberately refuse meat and animal products also love it. However, sometimes it is not easy to get a tasty pizza, because in most cases even vegetable pizzas are cooked with cheese. However, a vegetarian pizza exists, and you can make it at home.

Cooking Features

Cooking a vegetarian pizza is a bit different from pastry recipes.

  • The dough for a vegetarian pizza is not suitable for everyone, because it is important that it does not have butter and milk, since many vegetarians have excluded these foods from their diet. Other supporters of vegetarian food do not eat eggs, so the dough should be prepared without them, too. Especially since there are vegetarians (more often they are called vegans), eating only products of plant origin. The probability of finding a ready-made dough for sale that meets all these conditions is negligible. Therefore, the basis for pizza will have to do on their own, using special recipes.
  • Cheese is an important component of classic pizza, but vegetarians do not eat cheeses that use rennet ingredients in their preparation. You have to choose from a small amount of cheeses, which are made without the use of these ingredients. These are special cheeses for vegetarians, which are practically impossible to buy in our country, homemade cheeses, Adygei cheese and tofu. Even vegans eat tofu. If it is impossible to get a suitable component, the pizza can be covered with a fast mayonnaise sauce and sprinkled with amaranth flour - it will also turn out delicious.
  • Given that vegetarian pizza is cooked without meat and fish, it is not bad to include protein-rich foods in its filling. This is tofu, mushrooms, beans.
  • The sauce in a vegetarian pizza plays an even bigger role than in a classic recipe pizza. Therefore, its preparation should be taken seriously. Just anoint the cake with tomato sauce in this case will not be enough.

Choosing a pizza recipe, you should pay attention to all these moments, then it will turn out delicious and will certainly please the vegetarian.
