Cranberry Jam with Orange

When outside the window are the last fine autumn days, it is time to stock cranberries for the winter, because it is a storehouse of vitamins that our body desperately needs in winter. Some housewives dry the berries, others freeze, and still others make jam. Cranberry varenitsa is tasty and extremely useful, but if you add oranges to it, the taste of the delicacy will play in a new way, and the vitamins in it will only increase.

If you have never cooked cranberry jam with oranges before, then perhaps it is time to do this kind of billet. There are several recipes, and we decided to offer you a couple of them today.

Cranberry jam and oranges without cooking

In the recipe prepared according to this recipe, the maximum amount of useful substances is preserved, since berries and fruits are not subjected to heat treatment.

You will need:

  • cranberries - 1, 5 kilograms,
  • orange - 1, 5 kilograms,
  • sugar - 3 kilograms.

Preparation Method

  • My cranberries. Drain.
  • Wash my oranges very thoroughly under hot water with a brush. Dry them with paper towels. Cut into slices.
  • Skip the cranberries and oranges through a meat grinder or grind with an immersion blender. In the latter case, the sugar is added immediately, so it dissolves faster.
  • We pour the prepared jam into sterilized jars. We cork. We put in a cool place.

Cranberry jam with honey, oranges and lemons

You will need:

  • cranberries - 3 kilograms,
  • orange - 3 pieces,
  • lemon - 3 pieces,
  • honey - 1, 5 kilograms.

Preparation Method

  • My cranberries. Drain. Grind in a food processor.
  • Lemons and oranges peeled. Cut into small slices. Mix with cranberry mass.
  • Add honey (if you prefer, you can substitute the same amount of sugar). Stir. Leave for a while.
  • After the cranberries make juice, mix the jam well again and pour it into sterilized jars. Close the lids. Sent to the fridge.

Cranberry and orange jam for the winter. An interesting recipe with zest

You will need:

  • cranberries (you can even use frozen) - 1 kilogram,
  • sugar - 1 kilogram,
  • orange - 1 piece,
  • water.

Preparation Method

  • My orange. Remove the zest without white layer. Cut into cubes.
  • Squeeze the juice out of the orange.
  • Pour orange juice into a 250-milliliter container, adding water, fill it to the brim.
  • Pour sugar into a saucepan and pour in orange juice, diluted with water. Constantly stirring, bring to a boil.
  • Put the cranberries in the orange syrup and cook for a quarter of an hour.
  • Add orange zest, mix. Cook for another 5 minutes.
  • Lightly cooled jam is poured into sterilized jars and stored for storage in a cold and dark place.

Cranberry jam with orange peel

This jam is suitable not only for tea, but also as a sauce for meat and poultry.

You will need:

  • cranberries - 1 kilogram,
  • sugar - 1 kilogram,
  • orange - 2 pieces,
  • water - 1 cup.

Preparation Method

  • We are sorting out the cranberries. Mine Drain.
  • Oranges are good for mine. We clean. Cook orange peel for 5 minutes (this time should be enough for them to become soft).
  • Cut the orange peels into thin strips.
  • We cook syrup from the amount of sugar and water specified in the list of ingredients.
  • Put the berries of cranberries and orange peel into slices in syrup. Cook for half an hour.
  • Pour the thickened mass into sterilized jars. Cooked jam can be served with tea, but it also goes well with roast turkey, duck and even chops. Enjoy your meal!
