The ability to cook chicken broth in cooking is one of the basic ones. Most housewives successfully cope with this task without resorting to the help of kitchen appliances. They are assisted by experience and knowledge of many subtleties that allow them to boil a clear, fragrant and tasty chicken broth. When cooking dishes in a saucepan, the slightest mistake can cause it to become cloudy. The level of water in the pot has to be constantly monitored. There is a risk of salting the dish if you add salt at the initial stage of cooking. All these pitfalls can be avoided if you cook chicken broth in a slow cooker. Despite the fact that the process of cooking broth from chicken in a slow cooker is simple and does not require the hostess to know a lot of subtleties, some points will still have to be taken into account. Otherwise, even a smart unit will not solve the problem in the best way.

  • The quality of the original products directly affects the quality of the finished dish. For broth, it is better to take chicken grown on the farm, and not on the poultry farm, the broth from it will turn out to be more rich, fragrant and healthy.
  • Chicken bone broth is more nourishing and transparent, but it is considered dietary when cooked from breast or fillet.
  • An inexperienced hostess may wonder whether to boil water before lowering the chicken into it. If you cooked chicken for a second, then it would be wiser to do just that, to keep the meat juicy. However, when cooking broth it is important to do something completely different: that the maximum of nutrients from the chicken turned into a decoction. Therefore, pour it with cold water and only after that bring to a boil. It is also desirable to immediately salt the dish when cooking it in a slow cooker, because salt contributes to the digestion of healthy substances from meat and vegetables.
  • In order to make the chicken broth aromatic, roots, spices and vegetables are added to it when cooking. Most often they use onions, carrots, celery and parsley roots, allspice and black pepper, bay leaf. Chop them finely not necessary. A simple recipe for cooking chicken broth in a slow cooker


  • chicken soup set - 0, 5 kg;
  • water - 2 l;
  • onions - 75 g;
  • carrots - 100 g;
  • salt, pepper - to taste.

Method of preparation:

  • Rinse the chicken parts that make up the soup set, put the multicooker in the bowl.
  • Wash, peel the vegetables, add to the chicken.
  • Salt, pepper the ingredients, fill with clean water. It is better to use water not from the tap, but filtered.
  • Start the unit by selecting “First course” or “Soup”. If your device has the “Broth” program, select it. Set the timer to 2 hours.
  • After a specified time, strain the broth, use the bones and other parts of the chicken, and discard the vegetables.

Broth prepared according to this recipe can be eaten in pure form or used as a basis for preparing other dishes.

Fragrant chicken broth in a multicooker


  • chicken (any parts) - 0, 8-1 kg;
  • celery root - 100 g;
  • onions - 100 g;
  • carrots - 100 g;
  • bay leaf - 1 pc .;
  • allspice peas - 3 pcs .;
  • black pepper peas - 3 pcs .;
  • water - 2-2, 5 l;
  • salt - to taste.

Method of preparation:

  • Wash and dry the chicken, cut it into portions, put them in a multicooker bowl.
  • Wash and peel the onions, carrots and celery.
  • Celery cut into small cubes, carrot into large circles, cut the onion in half or 4 pieces.
  • Fry the vegetables in a dry frying pan for 2-3 minutes, shift to the chicken.
  • Add salt and spices, pour water over the products.
  • Start the slow cooker for 30 minutes in the first cooking mode.
  • After a specified time, change the program to “Quenching”. Instead, you can use the program "Multipovar". Prepare 1, 5 hours.

Broth remains to strain and use as intended. It turns out fragrant, has an appetizing shade.

Chicken broth with vegetables


  • chicken - 0, 7-0, 8 kg;
  • onions - 0, 2 kg;
  • carrots - 100 g;
  • parsley root - 50 g;
  • green peas - 100 g;
  • vegetable oil - 40 ml;
  • water - 2 l;
  • bay leaf - 1 pc .;
  • allspice - 5 pcs .;
  • salt - to taste.

Method of preparation:

  • Chicken cut into pieces, wash, put in a multicooker container.
  • Add the washed, but not peeled onion, salt, spices.
  • Fill with water and cook for 2 hours, at the first stage of cooking using the “Soup” program (first 20-30 minutes), then the “Quenching” program.
  • Strain the broth, discard the onion and spices, wash the bowl of the multicooker and wipe dry.
  • Wash, clean the remaining ingredients. Onions, carrots and parsley root cut into small cubes.
  • Pour oil into the multicooker bowl, start the device in cooking or baking mode.
  • Add onions, parsley and carrots. Cook them for 10 minutes.
  • Add green peas and broth. Select the “Quenching” program and turn on the slow cooker for another 15-20 minutes.

Broth according to this recipe is tasty and satisfying, it is quite able to replace a full first course. When serving, it doesn’t hurt to sprinkle with chopped greens.

In a slow cooker, chicken broth is much easier to cook than in a saucepan, but in this case, its cooking technology has its own subtleties. Only by taking them into account you will make a beautiful, tasty and healthy dish.
