Cod is among the most useful products. Most housewives know how to cook it. There are many ways, but cod, baked in sour cream in the oven, firmly holds the leading position. Cooked in this way, the fish is tender and juicy, while it retains its benefits and low calorie content.

  • To reduce the content of certain mineral salts in fish, which in large quantities are not very useful and can add a bitter taste to the dish, the thawed carcass can be placed in milk for an hour or two. However, there is no great need for this.
  • Even if you do everything right, but perederzhite fish in the oven, it will eventually be hard and dry. Therefore, the cooking time indicated in the recipe should not be exceeded.
  • Cod does not belong to highly oily fish, therefore with sour cream it turns out to be especially tasty. And the fatter the sour cream, the tastier and more tender the baked cod will turn out. It will be even better if the fish is marinated before cooking.

It is necessary to observe the technology of cooking cod in the oven, but this is not enough for the finished dish to have impeccable taste. Of great importance is the choice of spices, spicy herbs. White and black pepper, thyme, rosemary, parsley, dill, basil are well combined with fish. Lemon peel also gives a pleasant aroma to the dish.

Cod fillet baked in sour cream in the oven

Composition:

  • cod (fillet) - 1 kg;
  • lemon - 1 pc .;
  • sour cream - 0, 2 l;
  • vegetable oil - 50 ml;
  • salt, pepper - to taste.

Method of preparation:

  • Having thawed the cod fillet, dry it and check if there are any bones in it (if you find them, remove them with tweezers). Cut the fillet into portions.
  • Salt and pepper cod pieces, put in a bowl. Squeeze lemon juice into it. Leave the fish to marinate for an hour, stirring occasionally, so that it marinates evenly.
  • Grease the baking mold with vegetable oil, put cod into it.
  • Thickly coat the fish with sour cream.
  • Put the mold in the oven, preheated to 200 degrees. Bake the fish at this temperature for 20 minutes.

Fish prepared according to this recipe should be served with a side dish. It goes well with potatoes, baked and steamed vegetables.

Cod steaks baked in oven in sour cream

Composition:

  • cod steaks - 1 kg;
  • sour cream - 100 g;
  • tomato paste - 50 g;
  • mustard (sauce) - 20 ml;
  • vegetable oil - 50 ml;
  • salt, pepper - to taste.

Method of preparation:

  • After defrosting the steaks, wash them and blot with a napkin. Rub with salt and pepper.
  • Mix sour cream with tomato paste and mustard. Thickly spread the steaks on all sides with this sauce. Leave the fish to marinate in this sauce for half an hour.
  • Grease a baking sheet or baking dish. Lay out the steaks. Pour the remaining sauce over them. Put in the oven.
  • Bake the dish for 40 minutes at 180 degrees.

Steaks will acquire a delicate spicy taste with a barely noticeable sourness. Serve them as a cold snack or hot dish. In the latter case, the side dish does not hurt.

Cod steaks baked with vegetables

Composition:

  • cod steaks - 1 kg;
  • sour cream - 100 ml;
  • mayonnaise - 100 ml;
  • cream - 100 ml;
  • lemon - 0, 5 pcs .;
  • onions - 0, 2 kg;
  • tomatoes - 0, 2 kg;
  • salt, pepper - to taste.

Method of preparation:

  • Prepare the steaks and marinate them by rubbing salt, pepper, sprinkling with lemon juice and leaving for half an hour.
  • Wash the tomatoes and cut them into circles about 0.5 cm thick.
  • Peel the onions, cut them into thin rings.
  • Put steaks in shape. Spread tomatoes and onion rings on top.
  • Mix sour cream, cream and mayonnaise, pour the fish over this mixture.
  • Send the cod form to the oven and bake at 200 degrees for half an hour.

This dish can also be served without a side dish, although potatoes will not be superfluous.

Cod with shrimp baked in sour cream

Composition:

  • cod fillets - 0, 75-0, 85 kg;
  • shrimp cleaned - 150 g;
  • sour cream - 75 g;
  • mustard (sauce) - 20 ml;
  • cream - 0, 2 l;
  • milk - 0, 4 l;
  • lemon juice - 50 ml;
  • onions - 100 g;
  • butter - 50 g;
  • dill - 20 g fresh or 10 g dried;
  • flour - 60 g;
  • salt, pepper - to taste.

Method of preparation:

  • Thaw the cod fillet, dry it with a napkin, sprinkle with salt and pepper, pour with lemon juice, leave to marinate. For marinating, use only 10-15 ml of lemon juice, the rest will be required when preparing the sauce.
  • Finely chop the peeled onion, fry it in butter until soft.
  • Sprinkle flour over onion, fry and, adding a little milk, prepare enough liquid sauce.
  • Add sour cream, cream and mustard, stir and boil all together for another 5 minutes.
  • Cut the peeled shrimp (not too small). Add to sauce, stir and cook for a couple of minutes.
  • Cut the fillet into portions, fold into shape. Pour in a creamy cream sauce with shrimp. Add the dill.
  • Bake in the oven at 200 degrees for 25 minutes.

Such a dish can be prepared for the holiday. Serve it with a vegetable side dish.

Cod baked in sour cream with vegetables

Composition:

  • cod fillets - 0.5 kg;
  • potatoes - 0, 25 kg;
  • tomato - 100 g;
  • Bulgarian pepper - 0, 2 kg;
  • garlic - 1 clove;
  • bulb onion - 100 g;
  • fresh dill - 20 g;
  • olive oil - 50 ml;
  • sour cream - 150 g;
  • salt, pepper - to taste.

Method of preparation:

  • Wash, clean, and dry all vegetables with a napkin and cut into slices. Mix with olive oil, put in a baking dish and put in an oven, preheated to 200 degrees for 15 minutes.
  • Wash, dry fish fillets, salt and pepper.
  • When 15 minutes have passed, put the fish on the vegetables, brush with sour cream mixed with dill. Return the form to the oven and bake the dish for another half hour.

Before serving, cod fillet cut into portions. Serve it with vegetables, with which she baked.
