Charlotte is one of the easiest to prepare and at the same time delicious cakes. Most often it is made from biscuit dough filled with fresh or frozen berries, fruits. One of the most delicious is plum charlotte. The combination of sweet base and sour fruits like many. Most often, similar baking is prepared in the oven, but it is not always possible to use the oven. Then the multicooker will come to the rescue. Charlotte with plums in a crock-pot turns out to be as tasty as the traditional one, and almost never burns.

Cooking Features

The process of cooking charlotte in a slow cooker differs little from the technology of baking it in the oven. Even a beginning hostess can make such a pie, if she knows and takes into account a few moments.

  • Plums for charlotte choose only those varieties in which the bones are easily separated from the pulp. Ripe or slightly under-ripened fruits are ideal. Over-grown plums are not suitable for baking: during cooking they crawl away, making the cake tasteless and unappetizing.
  • The technology for making biscuit dough has its own canons. First, the eggs are beaten with sugar, then oil, kefir or other liquid products are added to them, if they are included in the recipe. The last thing to be injected is flour, which should be sieved beforehand to clean it from fine litter and saturate it with oxygen. Stir in flour with a spatula, without using a mixer, so as not to precipitate lush egg foam. Only when these rules are followed, the dough will turn out gentle and rise well.
  • A simple biscuit dough consists only of eggs, sugar and flour. If you want to make the cake crumbly, add melted butter to the dough. For softness they put fermented milk products into it. Adding baking powder helps the dough rise. Vanilla and cinnamon make baking more fragrant.
  • If the plums for charlotte are used acidic, soda is added to the dough instead of baking powder. Vinegar extinguish it is not necessary.
  • The bowl of the multicooker must be lubricated with butter or vegetable oil before placing the dough into it.
  • It’s not possible to make a big charlotte in a slow cooker - it just doesn’t bake. It is necessary to limit the number of products specified in the recipe.
  • Prepare a charlotte in a slow cooker using the “Baking” program. Cooking time depends on the power of the unit and the size of the cake. On average, the cooking process lasts an hour. The readiness of the cake is checked with a wooden toothpick. If it remains dry after dipping, the baking is ready.
  • Take the plum cake out of the multicooker using a steaming food grate - the bowl is turned over onto the wire rack, and the cake is on it.

It is better to serve the charlotte baked in the multi-cooker upside-down, since the upper part of the baking does not brown in it.

The classic recipe for a charlotte with plums in a slow cooker

Composition:

  • chicken egg - 4 pcs .;
  • sugar - 0, 2 kg;
  • flour - 160 g;
  • soda or baking powder for the test - 5 g;
  • vanillin (optional) - 1 g;
  • plums - 0, 3 kg;
  • butter for lubricating the bowl of the slow cooker - how long it will go;
  • powdered sugar (optional) - to sprinkle the cake.

Method of preparation:

  • Break eggs into a bowl, add sugar and vanillin to them.
  • Using a mixer, beat the eggs with sugar until a thick foam forms. Eggs should turn white and double. Usually the whipping process takes about 5 minutes.
  • Sift flour and mix it with baking powder. If you have sour plums, you can replace it with soda.
  • Pour the flour to the egg mass, stir the dough with a spatula. The dough should turn out smooth, without lumps, the consistency of sour cream.
  • Wash plums, blot with a napkin, cut into halves, remove the stones. Cut the plums into large segments, dividing each half with a knife into 2-3 pieces.
  • Lubricate the multicooker bowl with butter, put the plums into it.
  • Pour plums with dough.
  • Close the multicooker lid, start it in baking mode. Set the timer to 40-50 minutes. During cooking, do not lift the lid so that the cake does not settle.
  • After completing the program, check the readiness of the cake with a toothpick, if necessary, continue cooking it in the same program for 10-20 minutes.

Allow the charlotte to cool for 10–20 minutes without disturbing it, then remove it by placing it over the steamer. Transfer the cake to the dish. It remains to make tea and invite everyone to the table.

Charlotte of plums on sour cream in a slow cooker

Composition:

  • sour cream - 150 ml;
  • sugar - 140 g;
  • flour - 150 g;
  • chicken egg - 3 pcs .;
  • vanilla sugar - 10 g;
  • baking powder for dough - 10 g;
  • vegetable oil - 20 ml;
  • plums - 0, 2 kg;
  • icing sugar - to taste.

Method of preparation:

  • Combine the eggs with vanilla and regular sugar, beat them until white.
  • Combine with sour cream, mix well.
  • Mix sifted flour with baking powder.
  • Add the dry mixture to the liquid, mix thoroughly using a spatula.
  • Cut and dried plums cut in half, remove bones from them. Cut the fruit into slices.
  • Place the plum slices in the dough, stir it gently.
  • Grease the capacity of the multicooker with oil, place the dough with the plums in it.
  • Turn on the unit in the Baking program, set the timer for an hour.
  • Allow the finished cake to cool in a slow cooker, then remove it using the steaming basket.

Before serving to the table, it is recommended to sprinkle icing sugar, although without this simple decor it looks appetizing.

Charlotte with plums and pears in the slow cooker

Composition:

  • wheat flour - 160 g;
  • chicken egg - 3 pcs .;
  • yogurt - 0, 2 l;
  • sugar - 150 g;
  • baking powder - 5 g;
  • pears - 150 g;
  • plums - 150 g;
  • vanillin - 1 g;
  • butter - to lubricate the bowl of the slow cooker.

Method of preparation:

  • Beat the eggs with sugar and vanilla, mix with the unsweetened yogurt, beat again. Yogurt can be used and sweet - with a pear or plum filling, but then the amount of sugar by 1-2 spoons should be reduced.
  • Sift flour. Mix with baking powder.
  • Pour flour into a liquid base, mix.
  • Pears, peeling from coarse skins and cores with seeds, cut into cubes, put into the dough, mix.
  • Plums, cut in half, free from stones.
  • Put the plums in the buttered bowl of the multicooker, put the dough on top.
  • Turn on the slow cooker, start the “Baking” program, cook the pie for 60 minutes.

Sweet pears are perfectly combined with sour plums, and the charlotte with them turns out to be especially tasty.

Charlotte with plums in a slow cooker is prepared simply, does not burn. The filling can be supplemented with pears, apples, other berries and fruits.
