Physalis Jam

Physalis Jam

Physalis is an amazing plant. Today, more than a dozen of its varieties are known, which means that you can make a lot of various dishes from this berry. Physalis is marinated, often it is used to make stew, but the most popular is Physalis jam. Today we will prepare this particular delicacy.

The most important stage in the preparation of Physalis jam is the proper preparation of berries for heat treatment. As a rule, whatever the list of ingredients you choose, the berries are always prepared equally - they are cleared of the box, thoroughly washed with hot water and pierced. The latter procedure is necessary so that the berry is well soaked with syrup, because the thick skin of physalis greatly hinders this. After the berries are ready, you can start cooking!
