For a festive table or an unusual dinner, or maybe dinner, we suggest you prepare an interesting dish. We will cook chops. But not from meat as you used to, but from mushrooms. Unusual? Yes. Yummy? Highly.
This appetizer is excellent and cold to a glass of beer, and hot to any side dish. So, if you have never prepared a mushroom for this recipe before, it is worth a try.
We will cook champignons, but besides them, oyster mushrooms and wild mushrooms with large caps are excellent. Only forest mushrooms must be boiled before frying.
The cooking process is very simple, but we still prepared a step-by-step recipe so that you do not have any questions. In the process of frying, only caps from mushrooms are used. The legs can be roasted separately, in the same batter, or used for other dishes, for example, as an ingredient for potato salad.
Ingredients:
Mushrooms - 300 g;
Egg - 1 piece;
Starch - 1 tbsp. l
Flour - 2 tbsp. l
Salt;
Black pepper;
Vegetable oil.
Recipe:
First of all, choose the largest and cleanest mushrooms for the dish. Remove the dirt with a dry sponge. If there is a lot of dirt on the caps, then clean them by removing the top layer. Now we cut the cap into circles 3-4 mm thick. Take a very sharp knife, hold the hat on both sides and cut it with one precise movement. Hats can crumble. Do not despair if you can not cut all the mushrooms as you would like, everything comes with practice.
In a bowl, beat the egg with salt and black pepper.
Mix flour and starch together. 1/3 of this mixture is added to the egg and mixed well again. In addition to eggs, you can take and additional ingredients for batter - kefir, sour cream, mineral water. And if you add cheese to the batter, it will be incredibly tasty.
Each circle of the mushroom is rolled in flour with starch, and only after that we dip it in batter. Such a coat of their flour and starch will not allow the batter to slip from the mushroom.
Put the chops of mushrooms in the pan with hot vegetable oil.
Fry each side for 4-5 minutes until golden. Then put the mushrooms on a paper towel so that it absorbs the excess fat.
Serve mushrooms cold or hot with any side dish or as an independent snack.
