Mayonnaise most likely owes its popularity to the fact that for many years other types of sauces and seasonings were out of access.
Most have heard about the shortcomings of the product - high fat content, caloric content, significant salt content. Indeed, in high-quality mayonnaise, about 700 kcal are hidden, which is much more than in fried pork, which you cannot call lean.
But you will not be afraid of such information. They are not a good reason to refuse the use of mayonnaise. But to replace the traditional dressing more light sauce without loss of taste - quite doable work. There are a lot of alternative options.
Sour cream sauces
On the basis of fermented milk products, delicious dressings are prepared, in no way inferior to mayonnaise.
The first is to use sour cream. With it you can cook a few refills. Here are some recipes.
Sour cream-soy sauce
For cooking you will need:
- 1 tbsp. sour cream;
- 20 g of soy sauce;
- 3 garlic cloves;
- 5-7 sprigs of dill;

- 35 ml of oil;

This dressing will replace mayonnaise in all salads. The sauce is suitable for dishes from greens, olives and vegetables. It is important not to overdo it with oil. If you add it too much, the dish will be no less fatty than the one that is seasoned with mayonnaise.
Nut Sauce
For cooking refueling you will need:
- a glass of 15% sour cream;
- 150 grams of walnuts;
- 1/2 bunch of dill;
- 50 g sesame;
- 1 tbsp. l vegetable oils;
- a pinch of black ground pepper.
Sauce preparation process:
- Walnuts and sesame slightly browned in a frying pan.
- Send them to the blender and grind.
- Dill finely chopped.
- Combine all components and mix.
Other spices can be added to the finished nut sauce. This dressing is suitable for fish, potato dishes and other vegetables.
Cream sauce with horseradish
For its preparation you will need:
- 3 tbsp. spoons of grated horseradish;

- 30 g green onions;
- 1/2 tsp. granulated garlic.
