You do not need to make kvass or whey in advance, boil and then cool the water to dilute kefir or mayonnaise. Mineral can be purchased at any store. And it is suitable both sparkling water and without gas.

Subtleties

  • For okroshka take ordinary mineral water. You can not use the one that is sold in a pharmacy, as it is medical. Healthy people do not drink it.
  • Before pouring mineral water into okroshka, it is well cooled. All foods must also be cold, so okroshka not sour.
  • The same vegetables are put in it as in okroshka on kvass or kefir: potatoes, cucumbers, radishes, green onions, any greens. To make it more satisfying, eggs, meat products, and sausage are added to it. Mustard, as well as black pepper, horseradish give it a piquancy.
  • Since mineral water is not acidic, vinegar, citric acid, and lemon juice are added to the okroshka.

  • kefir - 300 g;

  • Sometimes tomatoes are put in okroshka. Wash tomatoes, pour boiling water. After 2 minutes, remove the skin. Cut the tomatoes into cubes. Mix with other vegetables.
