It is impossible to imagine neither Greece nor Greek salad without olives. But for some reason the shrimp, which the Greeks love too, are not in this salad, although they fit well into the overall taste.
In fact, it is impossible to put everything that grows on plantations and floats in coastal waters in every dish, but nobody forbids experimenting, therefore we will experiment with the national salad instead of the Greeks.
Nothing fundamental will be done - only the basic recipe plus shrimp, and also red pepper will also be replaced with sweet yellow.
Ingredients:
- tomatoes - 2 pieces;
- cucumber - 2 pieces;
- sweet pepper - 2 pcs;
- olives - 100 g;
- lemon - 0.5 pcs;
- boiled shrimps - 200 g;
- Cheese (or feta) cheese - 150 g;
- oregano - to taste;
- olive oil - 3 tbsp. l .;
- salt to taste.
Cooking time - 20 minutes; the number of servings - 2.
Cooking
1. First you need to wash the vegetables in running water. Peel sweet pepper and cut it into medium squares.
2. Cucumbers cut into four parts, and then cut into rings. There should be slices in the form of a quarter of a circle.
3. Add tomatoes to the chopped vegetables. In order for less juice to flow out of them, they need to be cut with a sharp knife.
4. Pitted olives must be washed and cut into 2 pieces. Since olives are the most characteristic ingredient in Greek salad, you should opt for a high-quality, if not the cheapest, product.
5. Olives should be sent to a bowl for all other vegetables.
6. Cheese is another essential ingredient of any Greek salad. Traditionally, it uses feta, but in our latitudes it is quite acceptable to replace it with cheese. Cheese must be cut into squares.
7. Then the cheese is added to the bowl to the rest of the products.
8. Lastly, boiled and peeled shrimps are added to the salad.
9. Salad dressed with olive oil. Then half a lemon is squeezed into it. At the end is added spices and salt.
