Honey sauce for meat may seem like a misunderstanding, but only at first glance. In fact, in cooking there are many recipes in which the “salty” by definition ingredients are combined with sweet. And no need to go far for exotic - take, for example, the same duck with apples.

Our today's recipe is a similar charm of contrasts. On the one hand - meat and garlic, on the other - honey and lemon.

The preparation of the dish is very simple: we bake chicken legs in the oven, then pour them with the sauce and fry them in the oven.

Ingredients:

  • chicken leg - 700 g;
  • honey - 3 tbsp. l .;
  • garlic - 4 cloves;
  • lemon - 1/2 part;
  • salt - pinch;
  • freshly ground black pepper - to taste.

1. We begin the process of cooking a dish by washing the chicken drumstick under cool running water. After that, using paper kitchen towels, dry the meat.

2. Put the chicken in a bowl, sprinkle with black pepper and a pinch of salt, focusing on your taste. Leave in this form for 6-7 minutes. Meanwhile, preheat the oven to 200 degrees. Cover the pan with aluminum foil, spread the soaked drumsticks and send to the oven for 30 minutes.

3. Now prepare the sauce. My lemon, squeeze the juice from it, using a regular fork, turning it in the fruit several times. Garlic cloves, peeled, finely chopped. Mix two ingredients in a plate, then add honey, and mix again.

4. After 30 minutes, take out the form, pour the meat with honey-lemon sauce. Again set to prepare for about 25 minutes. We spread the dish on a plate, decorated with greens.
