This delicacy came to us from abroad during the period of perestroika and pressed traditional sweets, although it was not much different from the usual candies. This is the same caramel on a stick, only in the shape of a ball, in which toffee can be hidden. Chupa Chups produce different colors, with different flavors and aromas, which are often responsible artificial additives. It is impossible to be sure of the safety of the treat when it is purchased. If you are afraid that it will cause allergies to your child or cause other harm to his health, and your child begs to feed him with candy, you have nothing else to do but to make chupa chups at home. To do this, you do not need any expensive ingredients or complex equipment - this simple dessert is prepared quite simply and inexpensively.

Cooking Features

Preparation of the lollipop at home is not a difficult task. If you accurately follow the directions in the recipe and take a few moments into account, tasty and beautiful lollipops will be obtained from the first time even by an inexperienced cook.

  • Lollipops are frozen caramel. It can be boiled from sugar with the addition of water or juice, sometimes natural thickeners are added to the composition. The ingredients are mixed, heated and boiled to the desired thickness. To caramel in the process is not burnt, you need to constantly mix, move away from the walls of the dish.

Composition:

  • corn syrup - 0, 2 l;

  • water - 180 ml;

  • liquid food dye - 2 drops (unless otherwise specified by the manufacturer).

Method of preparation:

  • Moisten and assemble molds for making chupas.
  • Insert a wand into each mold.
  • Combine sugar, syrup and water, mix, place in a saucepan, put on a slow fire. Heat, stirring, until the sugar is completely dissolved.
  • After the mixture is smooth, stop stirring. Wait until the syrup boils and heats to a temperature of 120-130 degrees.
  • Add color and flavor, mix.
  • As soon as the mixture reaches a temperature of 150 degrees, remove the pan from the heat.
  • Pour the hot caramel into a glass or ceramic container.
  • Carefully pour it into the molds.
  • Remove the caramel-filled tins into the fridge. Leave for 2-3 hours.
  • Remove clips from molds, release candies. Wrap them with candy wrappers or foil.

The sweets prepared according to this recipe practically do not differ from the shop sweets, and they are made according to similar technology.

The classic recipe for fruit Chupa Chups from juice

Composition:

  • fruit or berry juice (cherry is good) - 80 ml;
  • sugar - 180 g;
  • Confectionery powder (optional) - for decoration.

Method of preparation:

  • Mix juice with sugar.
  • Place in a metal mug, put on fire.
  • Over medium heat, bring the sweet mixture to a boil.
  • Turn down the intensity of the flame.
  • Heat the mixture, stirring slowly, over low heat for 8-10 minutes.
  • Pour hot caramel over ice or lollipops. You can also use forms for cupcakes, but in them candy canes turn out to be disproportionately large, very different from the traditional ones.
  • Let the caramel stand for a while at room temperature. Without waiting until it hardens, insert chopsticks into future candy.
  • Sprinkle the caramel with confectionary powder, put it in the fridge. After 3-4 hours it will be ready for use.

Milk Chupa Chups

Composition:

  • cream - 100 ml;
  • sugar - 0, 2 kg;
  • vanillin - 2 g;
  • butter - 50 g;
  • nuts (optional) - for sprinkling.

Method of preparation:

  • Mix the cream with sugar.
  • Heat over low heat, stirring, until sugar is dissolved.
  • Continue heating until the mixture has a caramel color.
  • Add vanillin. Stir. It is necessary to achieve homogeneity, the presence of lumps in caramel spoil the taste of delicacy.
