Turkey steak in a slow cooker

In order to cook a steak, it is not necessary to go to the market for a selective piece of beef. This dish is great from other meats.

Turkey steaks are cooked in a pan, in an oven and even in a slow cooker.

Subtleties

  • Turkey fillet for steaks is cut across the fibers with a thickness of at least 1.5 cm, otherwise they lose a lot of juice during the heat treatment. But you shouldn't make them fat either.
  • If a breast is used for this purpose, then steaks from it are often dry. Therefore, they are pickled using vinegar, lemon juice, wine. Different spices are added to the marinade to taste and kept in it meat from thirty minutes to two hours. Then they get wet with a paper towel, otherwise during frying they will not be able to form a crispy crust.
  • The oil in the slow cooker is not poured, but only smears the bottom of it. Prepare them in the "Baking" or "Frying".

Turkey steak in a slow cooker: a classic recipe

Ingredients:

  • turkey fillet - 500 g;
  • vegetable oil - 40 g;
  • dry spicy herbs - to taste;
  • salt;
  • garlic - 2 cloves;
  • lemon juice - 50 g;
  • pepper.

Preparation Method

  • Wash turkey fillets. Blot with paper towels. Cut across the fibers into slices.
  • In a bowl, mix spices, herbs, lemon juice and oil, leaving a little to lubricate the multi-cooker. Marinate the turkey in this mixture for an hour.
  • Put it in a colander or blot it with napkins.
  • Grease the pan with oil. Turn on Baking mode to heat the tank. Put a few slices of meat into it.
  • Close the lid. Cook for 20 minutes. Then turn the steaks and fry for another 20 minutes.
  • Leave them on heating for 5-10 minutes.
  • Put it on the plates.

Turkey steak with paprika in a slow cooker

Ingredients:

  • turkey fillet - 500 g;
  • vegetable oil - 40 g;
  • paprika - 1 tbsp. l .;
  • salt - to taste;
  • black pepper to taste.

Preparation Method

  • Cut the turkey into 2 cm wide slices.
  • Mix paprika with salt and pepper. Coat the mixture with meat. Leave for 15 minutes.
  • Oil the steaks and bottom of the multi-cooker bowl.
  • Install Baking or Frying. Lay one layer of steaks in a bowl. Close the lid. Turn on. Cook for 20 minutes.
  • Then turn to the other side and fry for another 20 minutes.
  • Leave the steaks for 10 minutes on the preheat.

Turkey steak with wine in a slow cooker

Ingredients:

  • turkey fillet - 500 g;
  • garlic - 2 cloves;
  • black pepper to taste;
  • vegetable oil - 40 g;
  • dry red wine - 50 ml;
  • salt - to taste.

Preparation Method

  • Wash and dry the turkey fillets. Cut into steaks about 2 cm wide.
  • Prepare the marinade by mixing wine, pepper, salt, oil and crushed garlic. Marinate meat slices in it for 1-2 hours.
  • Smear the bottom of the multicooker bowl with vegetable oil. Steaks blot with a paper towel. Put in a bowl.
  • Install the program “Frying” or “Baking”. Close the slow cooker. Fry the steaks for 20 minutes on one side, then turn them over and cook for another 20 minutes.
  • Leave on preheating for a few minutes.

Mistress to note

  • Using a different type of marinade, you can end up with a completely new steak. Do not be afraid to experiment. Feel free to mix mayonnaise and ketchup, lemon juice and chopped garlic, soy sauce and honey, dry wine and spicy herbs. In this case, be sure to consider not only your eating habits, but also the tastes of your household.
  • Do not pour a lot of oil into the slow cooker: steaks should not float in fat. Suffice it to lubricate them with the bottom of the bowl.
  • Serve steaks with any side dish, sauce, or fresh vegetable salad.
