Favorite by many the salad, which Caesar cook came up with from the remnants of various products for distinguished guests, is original both for its appearance and the products that make up the dish, and for its unique taste. But today, thanks to the variety of recipes, experiments and imagination of experienced cooks and ordinary housewives, Caesar's salad is permissible to cook with products that are different from the original, filling it with mayonnaise. Moreover, such a salad will turn out no less tasty and the difference from the original will be noticed only by an experienced restaurateur or gourmet.

Caesar salad with mayonnaise - general principles

What is this salad good for? It can include a variety of products. Be sure to have crackers, lettuce leaves and cheese, everything else is at your discretion: chicken, fish, cherry tomatoes, seafood, quail eggs and other ingredients.

All products are crushed and cut as indicated in the recipe and put in a fresh salad, with the exception of meat, seafood and eggs: they are pre-fried or boiled.

Salad crackers are prepared independently. It is enough to cut fresh bread into small cubes, put them on a dry baking sheet and send to the oven for a few minutes. For savory taste, seasonings of croutons are permissible: for example, paprika, herbs, garlic.

Mayonnaise can be purchased ready or made independently. If you take a marketable product, choose a quality product that does not contain emulsifiers and other “chemicals”. The homemade mayonnaise, though troublesome, is much tastier and healthier. It can be prepared from vegetable oil, sugar, salt, raw eggs, lemon juice and various additives (mustard, cucumber pickle, spices).

Serve the salad in a la carte plates, laying out all the prepared ingredients in a chaotic manner, sprinkled with cheese and watering with mayonnaise.

1. Caesar salad with mayonnaise and walnuts

Ingredients:

• one chicken leg;

• a small piece of Dutch cheese;

• 1 white loaf;

• 2 lettuce leaves;

• 5 cherry tomatoes;

• 2 eggs;

• A handful of unshelled walnuts;

• 3 cloves of garlic;

• spicy mustard - 2 teaspoons;

• lemon juice - 6 tablespoons;

• on a pinch of salt and allspice powder;

• mayonnaise and “Caesar” sauce (ready or made at home) - 2 tablespoons each.

Cooking Method:

1. Preparation of “Caesar” sauce: 2 chop some raw eggs with a blunt side of a needle, put them in hot water for 1 minute so that they turn out to be welded. Break eggs, mix whites with yolks in a cup. Add to them Worcestershire sauce and a little lemon juice. Chop the garlic in a garlic dish, put it to the eggs, whisk everything well. Slowly, slowly stirring, pour in a little olive oil. At the end, a little salt and pepper.
