A great option for dinner is pork on a potato pillow in the oven. A whole baking sheet of this tasty dish is enough to feed the family as well, and the guests as well. Keep in mind that neither sour cream nor mayonnaise is used in the dish, so the potatoes and meat will be somewhat dry, but the dish itself will be less high-calorie. So here you decide. Do not count the calories and want to fatter - mayonnaise in your hands. But since baking it is not recommended, it is still better sour cream.
List of ingredients:
- 500 g of pork,
- 1 kg of potatoes,
- 2 large onions,
- 2 tsp. salt,
- 1 tsp. spices,
- 3 tbsp. l vegetable oil,
- greens before serving.
1. For the preparation of dishes used part of the pork carcass called "apple" or hip part. Wash it, and even better soak it in cool water for about 30 minutes. Drain then and cut into thin steaks, up to 5 mm thick.
2. Peel the potatoes, wash and cut into slices, 2-3 mm thick. If the potatoes are sliced too thin, it will dry on the baking sheet and will look like paper.
3. Spread the pork steaks on the board, cover with top cling film and carefully beat each side off.
4. Peel the onions and cut them into halves.
5. Cover the baking sheet with foil so as not to tear off the fat and slices of potatoes from it. Grease the foil with oil, place 2/3 of the potatoes, add salt and pepper if desired. Also spread the onion ringlets evenly.
6. Put pork chops on potatoes and onions. They also need salt and pepper.
7. Put the remaining potatoes on top of the pork, salt it. Heat the oven to 220 degrees and send a baking sheet. Bake 40 minutes. Since the pork was beaten, it will cook faster.
8. After 40 minutes, carefully remove the hot pan from the oven. The potatoes that were at the bottom turned out to be fatter, and the one at the top was not at all fat, but drier. The meat was soft.
Serve the dish in portions, hot or warm, with vegetables, herbs and sauces.
