Cooking Features

It is easy to make non-alcoholic mulled wine, but this process has several subtleties. Get acquainted with them, otherwise the first experience of making a popular drink may be unsuccessful.

  • Juice should not be brought to a boil - just warm it up to 70 degrees and achieve complete dissolution of sugar. With greater heat, the beneficial properties of the main ingredient may not be preserved.
  • Juice with pulp is not suitable for mulled wine - the drink will turn out to be muddy, very different in appearance from real mulled wine.
  • Spices for mulled wine are not ground to flour, otherwise filtering will not lead to complete cleaning of the drink and it will not be so pleasant to drink it.
  • After cooking, mulled wine is covered with a lid and left for 10-15 minutes to make it real. After that, it must be filtered through a fine sieve or gauze folded in several layers. Do not delay with this, otherwise the spices can make the taste of the drink too harsh. The taste of the cooled mulled wine is also unlikely to please you.
