You may have repeatedly admired cakes, decorated with flowers and / or pieces of mastic. You will be surprised, but you can create such masterpieces yourself. Mastic can be prepared in different ways, but the simplest is the recipe, in the list of ingredients of which marshmallow (marshmallow candies) is listed. Today's master class will be devoted to the creation of mastic from this soufflé.
- marshmallows - 100 g,
- icing sugar - 1 cup,
- cocoa - 1 tbsp. l
1. Prepare the ingredients from the list, necessary to create mastic.
2. Marshmellou put in a deep dish and sent to the microwave. Depending on the power of the microwave oven, the stewing time can reach up to a minute. Understand that the souffle needs to be removed, you can increase the candy in a half to two times. If you do not have a microwave, then you can melt the soufflé in a water bath.
3. Add cocoa to melted marshmallows. Stir well.
Attention: we use cocoa powder as a natural dye, if you want to get not brown mastic, but, say, red, yellow or blue, then instead of cocoa you should use food dyes of the desired color.
4. Pour the icing sugar. Stir thoroughly. Mastic is ready! Send it to the refrigerator for a quarter of an hour, and after the specified time has expired, you can create cake decorations from it.
Finally, another tip: if after decorating the cake you have mastic left, then do not worry that you will have to throw it away - wrap the mastic with cling film and put it in the freezer. You can store it this way for several months. Before using frozen mastic for some time, send in the microwave and can create jewelry.
